A marinade can make or break your dish. There are dozens of delicious marinades out there, Tessemae’s has to be one of my favorite brands. Not only are all their marinades delicious but they are gluten free – yah!
But when you do have some extra time, I challenged you to make your own marinade at home. Don’t let the word challenge scare you my friends, this marinade I’m about to share with you involves four ingredients: soy sauce (GF), agave, garlic and lime juice.
Ingredients for Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings – for about 10 chicken wings
- 1.5 cups Agave
- 1 cup soy sauce (obviously I used GF soy sauce, but you can use regular)
- 2 gloves crushed garlic
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 10 chicken wings (medium size)
Whisk it all together! To easy marinate the wings, I put them into a ziplock bag, and pour in the mixture. Close the bag, mix everything around and pop it in the fridge. TIP: make sure to put a pan underneath it just in case there’s any leakage 🙂
Doesn’t matter what I’m marinating (chicken, fish, steak), I usually like to let it sit for at least two or three hours and really let the juices sink in.
Bake in the oven on on 350 for 45 minutes.
