I’ve been to Burtons Grill many times before with my family, but recently when I went to dinner with friends, it was the first time I had been since being diagnosed with celiac. I believe cooking gluten free at home is very easy because you can control what is being put into your food and where it is being prepared. But I’ll admit, recently I have been dreading going out sometimes because all I want to do is join my friends for dinner without worry. Especially for someone like me who absolutely loves food and trying new restaurants, I just want to find a place that can offer me more than just a plain salad.
Well my friends, I give you Burtons Grill. It offers an extensive gluten free menu with options such as buffalo chicken dip, pizza, fried calamari and burgers. Yes you read that right: fried calamari. Why are they so understanding to this allergy you ask? Because Burtons Grill’s own CEO Kevin Harron has celiac disease, and you can read the restaurant’s full allergy commitment here. Well Mr. Harron, I’d personally like to thank you for giving me a place that I can enjoy dinner with family and friends.
So what did I get that night you ask? For drinks, I had a margarita, and for our first course we shared the buffalo chicken dip. For dinner, I couldn’t decide (funny right? Usually I only have three options to choose from), but I ended up going for the bronzed salmon which was delicious.
Check out locations here for a Burtons in your area because when it comes to customer service and gluten free cooking, they just get it.
