Fall is my absolute favorite season. Apple picking, football, Thanksgiving, over size sweaters and of course pumpkin spice lattes.

Today, my family and I spent the morning apple picking and the afternoon celebrating my Uncle’s birthday (apple cupcake post coming soon)!

As I searched for the perfect recipe for today’s dessert, pumpkin seemed delightfully appropriate for the occasion. My inspiration came from this amazing recipe by Annie’s Eats.

For the decorations, I visited my local Starbucks where I’m a daily regular. They were very kind and gave me some cardboard holders and straws!

For the frosting, I kept it very simple, just like Annie’s recipe. Only heavy cream and confectionary sugar. I also topped the cupcakes off with some cinnamon and caramel drizzle.
